The Call of the Wild Movie Review
Adapted from the beloved literary classic, THE CALL OF THE WILD vividly brings to the screen the story of Buck, a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life is turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon during the Gold Rush of the 1890s. My biggest upset for this movie was the character of Hal. He was the main villain of the movie which made no sense. It would have been fine if the main character was Thornton but he was just a side character. Most of his hatred was because he felt Thornton has done him wrong.
Even though I liked the character of Buck I felt his model was off a bit. He should have been a huskie or something along those lines. I feel him taking over the pack was a bit weird since he was basically a house dog. His spirit animal was a wolf too so maybe pick a dog that’s close to it.

Let's say I change one thing. Maybe that one thing will make the Rhythm Section better or more watchable.
Hal shouldn’t have been the ending villain. It should have been the dog from the snow team. There could have been some tension as he returns to prove he’s the best. It would have been unexpected and it could have been the final proving ground for Buck.
