Today I’m reviewing The Hunger Games: MockingJay Part 1.

Short Synopsis:

When Katniss destroys the games, she goes to District 13 after District 12 is destroyed. She meets President Coin who convinces her to be the symbol of rebellion, while trying to save Peeta from the Capitol.**

Non-Spoiler Review:

This installment of The Hunger Games digs deep into the mental state of Katniss. It shows what happens during the start of a war. There are a lot of points where they build the story. Be warned that this is a two part movie. If you’re a reader of the book franchise then you will be excited to watch this movie.

I give this movie a 7.1 out of 10.

Today I’m reviewing Beyond the Lights.

Short Synopsis:

The pressures of fame have superstar singer Noni on the edge, until she meets Kaz, a young cop who works to help her find the courage to develop her own voice and break free to become the artist she was meant to be.**

Non-Spoiler Review:

Beyond the lights is a near perfect movie for a date night. It shows great moments of being there for the one you love. Two people come together and try to make it work between their completely different lives.

I give this movie an 8 out of 10.
