I just went over my top 5 movies of 2014 so let’s go over the top 5 worst movies of this year. These movies disappointed me in multiple ways. I will go over a few of them. Sometimes movies just fall flat.
Coming in at #5 is… Expendables 3
Here’s a synopsis: Barney augments his team with new blood for a personal battle: to take down Conrad Stonebanks, the Expendables co-founder and notorious arms trader who is hell bent on wiping out Barney and every single one of his associates.
When you think of the Expendables your mind begins to think about the old action stars. Well you’re half way right in this third movie of the franchise. The older actors decide to bring in some new blood and stink up the movie. It didn’t help that this movie went from Rated R to PG-13 and you can tell the difference. It was sloppy and didn’t highlight majority of the cast members like the first two movies.

Coming in at #4 is… Lucy
Here’s a synopsis: A woman, accidentally caught in a dark deal, turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.
Lucy, Lucy, Lucy… why did this movie get passed production? I’m not sure but it had a decent trailer at least. When you go to see this movie you’re highly disappointed to see Scarlett Johansson get herself involved in this project. It’s just a waste of time in the theater.

Coming in at #3 is… The Equalizer
Here’s a synopsis: A man believes he has put his mysterious past behind him and has dedicated himself to beginning a new, quiet life. But when he meets a young girl under the control of ultra-violent Russian gangsters, he can’t stand idly by – he has to help her.
The time of Denzel playing the untouchable action star is over. He’s at that age where you expect him to get hurt a little but he seems nearly invincible in this movie. No one is enough to handle this elderly hit man. It brings you tears when watching this movie. To be honest, not many people can pull off the avenger of the weak all while working at a Home Depot like job.

Coming in at #2 is… The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Here’s a synopsis: When New York is put under siege by Oscorp, it is up to Spider-Man to save the city he swore to protect as well as his loved ones.
There were way too many villains in this movie for it to work out right. The Amazing Spider-Man did a decent job rebooting the series and this sequel just dropped the ball completely. You have a crazy amount of stories intersecting each other which took up a ton of screen time. This movie made a lot of money but made a good number of fans angry. It’s time to rethink Spider-Man’s future and fast.

Coming in at #1 is… Transformers 4: Age of Extinction
Here’s a synopsis: Autobots must escape sight from a bounty hunter who takes control of the human serendipity: Unexpectedly, Optimus Prime and his remaining gang turn to a mechanic and his daughter for help.
The big stinker is none other than Transformers 4. This movie was a disaster. You have a movie that’s filled with bad chemistry, mixed in with little screen time from the Dinobots and a ton of crazy product placements. One of the most anticipated movies of the year came up completely short of a touchdown. It should have been a better movie and had all of the components to be pretty decent time in the theaters. If you came in for the dinobots then you might as well come in at the end of the movie and save yourself some time.
