Episode 4 Overall Thoughts

Finally the ship that has been following them since episode 2 has arrived. They mask themselves as good guys then they take hostages that are useful and kill others. It looks like it has worked on a ton of other boats in the past.

Strand tries to leave unharmed but is shot by one of the thieves and his raft begins to sink. The performance by this dude was top notch. He went through a good amount of emotions during the entire episode. Someone come give this man an award! We also find out a little more about Strand and his motivation for trying to get back to Mexico in a hurry. He has a boyfriend who runs a compound which is quite safe. This is the best place for them to go during this moment.

Nick puts back on the walker blood to find Luis on the shore. Luis will help the team get across the border because he has a connection and money. This is another display of the talents of Nick. He’s getting more screen time and he’s doing a ton of recon missions. He’s serving a purpose while keeping his humanity in check.

Episode 5 Overall Thoughts

Chris is stupid and he shows it in this episode. You have a captive which could help you in the trade of people in order to keep them safe and Chris couldn’t control his emotions which leads to the death of their hostage. Now the group has to think of another option. They end up trading the captive back to the brother and cause another outbreak. Everyone now feels uncomfortable around Chris and it’s well warranted.

Alex returns to the show and she admits to giving the crew information on Travis’ group. They need more episodes with her character because she’s very smart and resourceful. She also has a survivability factor about her that’s going to be handy in the future.

Final Grade -> 80%

Enough on what I thought about the episodes.
