Furious 7 Review

Hello and Welcome Reviewers!

Today I’m reviewing Furious 7.

Short Synopsis:

Deckard Shaw seeks revenge against Dominic Toretto and his family for his comatose brother.*

Non-Spoiler Review:

The group is back in town and they’re going against Deckard Shaw. The events from Fast 6 comes back to bite the team in the butt. Jason Statham is a great action star and gives the team a fight for their lives. This movie should be watched by all who love fast cars and high paced action.

I give this movie a 8.4 out of 10.

This Furious 7 review contains possible spoilers. You’ve been warned.

** Warning, Possible Spoilers!!!! **

The Good:

  • Every installment for the Fast and Furious franchise tops its predecessor. Furious 7 didn’t disappoint my previous sentence. No one would have thought that the movies would get better over time.
  • The plane stunt was spectacular. To think majority of that scene wasn’t CGI was amazing. Seeing those planes falling through the sky made my jaw drop.
  • The side characters like Ramsey, Roman and Tej helped out during the story-line. They didn’t subtract from the overall experience, in fact at times they really assisted the main folks.
  • All of the fight scenes between Shaw and the team. First was Hobbs and it was epic. Next was with Dominic during the street fights. Both of the fights made for entertaining moments. If I had to choose the best one then I would choose the fight between Hobbs and Shaw.

The Bad:

Dominic Toretto was superman during the whole movie. He managed to dead lift a car out of nowhere. This slightly took me out of the movie for a moment. Then he kept crashing his vehicles and surviving.  No matter how big the crash, he came out without taking too much damage at all.

Shaw would give batman a run for his money. He took on multiple S.W.A.T. members during the opening scene without even sweating. Next, there are the scenes with him and the team. I’m not sure if he had a tracker on them or not. He kept on finding the team throughout the movie.

The God’s eye program is useless. They spent most of the movie trying to get the program when they didn’t need to do that at all. Shaw kept on finding them so it would be difficult to go on the offensive. They should have spent more time trying to battle Shaw.

The Hypothetical:

It would be a different movie if Shaw didn’t appear at each location at the same time as the team. It was a slightly detracting item when he popped up every time. It made the reasoning for getting the God’s Eye program obsolete.
