Overall Thoughts

The use of John Constantine was short of wasted in this episode. You’re expecting greatness from his scenes but you’re ultimately disappointed about them. It’s either they tried to do something special but fall short or they didn’t want to do too much with him and it came off like a throw away use. Sorry to say you could tell why their show got canceled in the first place.

One of the biggest downfalls for this episode was the sequence of events leading up to getting Sarah’s soul back. The scenes were short and really didn’t live up to the hype at all. It wasn’t like she was stuck somewhere by someone or anything; the only thing that held her were some arms in the Pit. They made it into a big deal before actually going into this world that you’re expecting a long sequence with tons of fighting but it didn’t pay off.

Laurel Lance in the last 2 episodes returned back to her annoying nature. She hide the resurrection of Sarah from the group, especially Oliver, and caused a lot of chaos. It’s understandable that you wanted your sister back but you should have known the kind of risks you take when dealing with the Pit. The scene where she’s telling Oliver off in the hospital made no sense at all. She shouldn’t see herself as an equal to the Arrow if she’s barely holding her own on the streets. It’s time to get back to the gym and train.

My favorite parts of “Haunted” might have been the teamwork between Captain Lance and Diggle. They played off each other nicely as two non-techie people doing techie things. If they included more of their scenes together then I wouldn’t be mad at all.

Mr. Terrific comes up with a win again this week with the cracking of the Ray Palmer message. Everyone thought Ray died in an accident in his lab but that wasn’t the case. Next week we will find out what really happened during the explosion. This is probably the most exciting part of the whole series at this moment. I would be crazy if I didn’t mention Mr. Terrific was wearing a “Fair Play” stitching on his workout clothes. Shout out to all of the comic book geeks who saw it and smiled really hard.

Final Grade -> 70%

Enough on what I thought about the episodes.
