The 87th Academy Awards, best known as the Oscars happened last night. The host of this awards show was Neil Patrick Harris. The night was filled with ups and downs. Stay tuned for another post talking about The Oscars in general.

Best Animated Feature Film: Big Hero 6

Best Animated Short Film: Feast

Best Foreign Language Film: Ida

Best Cinematography: Birdman

Best Original Song: Glory – Selma

Best Original Music Score:  The Grand Budapest Hotel

Best Original Screenplay: Birdman

Best Writing Adapted Screenplay: The Imitation Game

Best Sound Mixing: Whiplash

Best Sound Editing: American Sniper

Best Film Editing: Whiplash

Best Production Design: The Grand Budapest Hotel

Best Documentary Short Subject: Crisis Hotline

Best Documentary Feature: Citizenfour

Best Costume Design: The Grand Budapest Hotel

Best Live Action Short Film: The Phone Call

Best Makeup: The Grand Budapest Hotel

Best Visual Effects: Interstellar 

 

The Grand Budapest Hotel and Birdman both went home with 4 Oscars each! That’s very impressive from the two films. Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees!
