Short Synopsis:

Episode #15 – “King Shark”

When King Shark escapes from an A.R.G.U.S. holding tank, Lyla and Diggle travel to Central City to warn The Flash. King Shark shows up at the West house and attacks Joe, Iris, Wally and Barry.**

Episode 15 Overall Thoughts

I don’t really like the competition between Barry and Wally. It’s an alright plot point but unneeded. It brings Wally into a zone that I don’t like at all for his character. I’m used to his joking around and being a comedic actor. Maybe it’s the Justice League animated series in me. I rather see a cheerful Wally than a brooding one.

Diggle crossing over to The Flash was a good touch. You get Diggle being the motivational speaker for Barry which reminds you of the better times in the Arrow story line. He served a purpose and didn’t annoy me at all. The amount of screen time for him was near perfect.

Kudos to the visual effects team this week. They brought King Shark to life. He looked amazing and slightly bigger than he was before. The animation for King Shark worked well. It could have sucked if done differently but they pulled it off.

The Flash runs on water to defeat King Shark was a great way to show Barry’s greatness. He not only stopped King Shark but he took it to him on his turf. It was extremely satisfying to have things go down the way it did. When I watched this one section of the episode it reminded me of the race between Superman and The Flash.

What exactly happened at the end of this episode? You have multiple Jay Garricks and it’s confusing slightly. We finally have the unmasking of Zoom and surprise… surprise… it’s Jay Garrick. Now you’re thinking maybe there are 3 or 4 Jays in total but who knows. I would rather have the Wally West doppelganger be Zoom. That would have been amazing. Hopefully they will make some sense of everything soon.
