Overall Thoughts

So The Walking Dead decides to go from a ramp up action episode to a slow character piece episode and it’s the wrong move. This Morgan-centric episode is the weakest link of the season so far. It is okay to want some backstory into Morgan’s physique but that could have been covered in the same way as the Fear The Walking Dead airplane stories. Give the audience one piece at a time while he’s doing certain things during the Alexandria infestation.  It shouldn’t have gone on for 90 minutes at all.

You’re not completely sure how much time has passed between the time Morgan stays with Eastman and the time that he leaves the house. You would expect he would be there for a while but it looks like he spent maybe a week or two at best. They made it seem like Morgan was a natural with the staff and the teachings of Aikido just came to him quickly.

Morgan decides it is a good idea to keep the leader of the Wolves alive. He’s trying to do the same thing Eastman did for him which is pointless. Only people who are willing to change will actually change. This is probably the second time they’ve shown Morgan making a critical mistake that will come to bite him in the butt later. The Walking Dead lets you know that sometimes kindness is the wrong thing to give and Morgan will find that out soon.

The only thing I did like about this week’s episode was seeing John Carroll Lynch in action. He’s such an awesome actor that he brings greatness to majority of his scenes. You’re always making a great choice when you add such a talent to help out a weak episode.

Final Grade -> 43%

Enough on what I thought about the episodes.
