Episode 5 Overall Thoughts

Ryan is now testifying his journey with Hannah. I never knew how much time he spent with her. It looked like she trusted him. Ryan even took more than one poem from Hannah. He also mentions Hannah making poems about Justin after her falling out. Mr Porter gets sent a threatening message attached to a brick sent through his car window. This really do anything for me since I’m not a fan of the character. Jessica finally goes to a group therapy session. She was in need of this step because the last 4 episodes she was broken.

This episode was confusing and it shed a bad light on Hannah. It made it look like she didn’t have self control especially after the picture of her got leaked around the school. I thought I remembered her hanging with Clay more during that time and was a bit more depressed.

Grade -> 50%

Episode 6 Overall Thoughts

Zach testifies and basically empties a skeleton closet. He mentions having a close relationship with Hannah and even personal relations. Justin appears in front of the entire school but passes out due to the current detox. Back at the Jenson household someone breaks into the house while Justin is there. This causes Justin to be found by Clay’s parents.

This episode pissed me off! You’re telling me that Zach had a summer fling with Hannah but it didn’t seem like they did in season 1. I think they just made this part up to damage Hannah’s character. Clay was confused and I was right along with him. I remember both the tape and physical interactions between the Zach and Hannah which didn’t include much closeness.

Grade -> 45%

Episode 7 Overall Thoughts

Surprise, Surprise… they called Clay to testify. He basically damages the Baker’s defense by mentioning Hannah doing drugs and mentioning wanting to die while they spent the night together. Alex’s birthday has arrived and tension boils when everyone decides to walk on egg shells around him. Someone leaves Clay a third polaroid on his car and name drops “The Clubhouse”. Clay is pissed about the comments he’s reading over a blog that’s following the trial so he leaks Hannah’s tapes. At the end you see Bryce having non-consented sex with Chloe.

This episode wasn’t bad. They had a section where they hung up Jeff’s jersey in the gym. I really miss Jeff’s character! Otherwise this episode shows that Clay didn’t know Hannah much at all.

Grade -> 60%

Episode 8 Overall Thoughts

Bryce is getting a lot of backlash for the tapes. Marcus is pressured into calling Bryce a rapist while making a speech at school. Skye finally reaches out to Clay after he leaves a ton of voice messages. She mentions not being able to use the phone for the first couple of weeks at the facility. She tells Clay she’s leaving the state. Back at the Jenson household Justin begins to overdose and Alex comes in to save him. You hear more about the relationship between Andy and Olivia Baker.

This episode was decent. You have a lot of moving pieces which helped the run-time of the episode. The scene with Marcus’ hand being forced was amazing. This came about since the previous blackmailing attempt of wearing a dress didn’t work.

Grade -> 55%

Enough on what I thought about the episodes.
