** Warning, Possible Spoilers!!!! **

Episode 13 Overall Thoughts

Welcome to Earth-2 and it’s completely different from the norm. You have doppelgangers of Earth-1 baddies being good guys on Earth-2. It’s sooo strange to see certain characters back on the show but it’s also sooo cool to know what could happen on Earth-2. The relationship between Joe and Barry is horrible which is completely different from Earth-1.

Deathstorm, Reverb and Killer Frost for the win! They’re bad and they’re doing it good. You get to see the powers of these three characters and hope for something to happen on Earth-1 that mirrors that kind of awesomeness. Reverb by far has the coolest powers and I’m hyped to see Cisco learn a few things from this encounter.

The pacing of this episode was dam near perfect. This is probably the best episode of season 2 so far! You have continuous story, action and substance throughout this starter to the two part visit to Earth-2.

You get to see some powers from Jay Garrick and realize how strong of a Speedster he was on his Earth. The hat trick with Geomancer really impressed me. Too bad the speed isn’t sticking much because Barry could really learn from this man. He could take Barry to the next level easily.

Final Grade -> 93%

Episode 14 Overall Thoughts

This episode was a slight step down from last week’s wonderful start. There are a lot of telegraphed plot points that came to light and didn’t leave anything to the imagination.

It was great to see the double dose of Grant Gustin this week. They successfully did the mirror effect to where it looked like he had a twin. Whoever did the editing for this week deserves a medal. They did their job wonderfully. Shout out to Grant for portraying two different side of Barry Allen.

There are a few disappointing things about this episode. I rarely have bad things to say about this series but these few things annoyed me slightly. It sucks that you don’t find out the identity of the captured man. You get a lot of code talk between Barry and Jessie but unfortunately you only get Jay Garrick which was very cryptic. The next thing that bothered me was the video that came out showed Zoom taking off his mask and it didn’t happen during this episode. LET THE AUDIENCE KNOW THE IDENTITY OF ZOOM ALREADY!!! I’m getting tired of guessing.

Final Grade -> 70%

Enough on what I thought about the episodes.
