Overall Thoughts

The episode picks up about 8 months from the ending moments of the season finale of season 1 and keeps it moving quite nicely. You find a lot of mystery in the months that surrounded the events of the singularity. You find Ronnie is missing after helping close the portal. Maybe he’s stuck on Earth 2 or something. I don’t think he passed away at all. Then you have Barry have pushing away his team and works on slowly putting back Central City. There are a lot of good points about this episode in general. You have the introduction of Jay Garrick and the unveiling of the new suit.

The only thing that didn’t work out too well for this episode was Atom Smasher. His CGI just looked horrible when he transformed. They should have kept him until maybe the middle of the season to work on it a bit more. He did serve a purpose though because without him Barry would have continued to work on his own. Atom Smasher did name drop Zoom as well so other than the CGI his character wasn’t a complete waste.

Final Grade -> 77%

Enough on what I thought about the episodes.
