Today, I’m reviewing War for the Planet of the Apes.

Synopsis

In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.

Non-Spoiler Review

The third movie in this franchise suffers from the first two films’ greatness. You’re not really rooting for the Apes or the humans in this movie. You’re along for the ride and will need to read a lot of the dialogue. The visuals are top notch and Caesar is still an amazing character to follow. Last but not least the comedic relief of Bad Monkey was hilarious. He’s the best thing about the movie. You should bring everyone who watch the first two movies so they can close off the series with you.
