Overall Thoughts
The return of Harrison Wells just increases the amount of joy in this episode. This is not your typical Harrison Wells, he’s from Earth 2. He did enough in this episode to leave you wanting more. His reveal to Barry at the final moments set up next week’s episode. The thing Joe wanted to keep hidden from Barry just came up and saved his butt. There is no doubt that weapon that Wells stole is powerful.
This episode brought out a lot of things from the DC universe. They mentioned MacGregor’s Syndrome; this is the disease that Nora Fries was suffering from. Hewitt aka Tokamak showed up during this show as a villain and he brought some anger with him. King Shark makes an appearance, nerdy folks know him as a comic book baddie and Suicide Squad member. It just brings the Flash into a place where you could set up Legends of Tomorrow properly.
A new team of Firestorm is finally here. The addition of Jefferson Jackson brings the superhero Firestorm back to life. Ever since the disappearance of Ronnie Raymond during the irregularity there has been a sort of void in the superhero team up department. It’s great to see another person is able to join with Martin Stein. The way how they introduced the new combination was excellent as well.
The only thing I didn’t like about the episode was Caitlin Snow. She just came off as too harsh at first. Of course she corrected this behavior at the middle of the episode but still she needed to have a seat. You just can’t spring something as huge as Firestorm on someone and expect them to agree without thinking about it. The last person who agreed to it became a villain. This might teach her to cool her jets and think about something other than scientists.
Final Grade -> 85%
Enough on what I thought about the episodes.
