Overall Thoughts
There were a lot of funny one liners in this episode which surprised me. Most of the jokes came from Eugene and Josh McDermitt’s delivery was priceless. If I recorded the episode I would have re-watched his scene inside of the house before and during the time when he got caught.
Rick is still a boss and he’s making things work for the group. He has just the right amount of savage nature and parental nurture to keep his standing as one of the best characters of the series. If it wasn’t for his quick thinking then the plan of moving the walkers would have failed from the start. Everyone wanted to let them stay but Rick knew that leaving them there would cause a ton of problems. Say whatever you want about the many stages of Rick but one thing is for sure… Rick is the man!
The last five minutes of this episode was crazy! You have the horn going off at the worst time possible which makes the entire plan fail at the home stretch. This will set up the cleanup needed for the next couple of episodes. Just when you’re unsure how things will go next you’re introduced to an immense danger.
This is me nitpicking but I disliked the feelings of both Morgan and Michonne. They’re worried about Rick and his animal ways when it’s not needed. Of course Rick is a bit intense at times but he has the right train of thought in the end. You see Morgan and Michonne going slightly soft on the things that are important to survival and that’s worrisome.
Final Grade -> 88%
Enough on what I thought about the episodes.
