Overall Thoughts

Melissa McBride shined throughout the entire episode. She had a ton of character development. At first I thought she was really getting soft but noticed she was just playing the Saviors. It was great seeing her turn on and off her feelings. This flowed well with her internal struggle of killing folks. There are a ton of things that hurt her emotionally from all of the seasons and it all came to light during this episode.

This episode concentrated a lot on the ladies and it was amazing. Rick is normally in the forefront but they moved away from this formula to cover the backstories of a lot of females. Paula looked like an extreme version of Carol. They both have very similar lifestyles and you can tell that if Carol doesn’t check herself then she will turn into Paula.

Everyone saying they’re Negan felt very creepy to me. It reminds me of the TV show called The Following. You’re unsure of the reasoning why everyone is behind Negan so much but you could tell he will be a force to reckon with in the future. This leads me to the final moment with Rick. He’s such a bad ass that he straight up kills Primo at the end.

Maggie went into crazy Rick mode this weekend. She kind of scared Carol a bit when talking about wanting to kill them all. Maggie had her eye on the prize and momma bear came out. All in all Maggie is getting to a state where she knows what needs to be done and I like it.

Final Grade -> 82%

Enough on what I thought about the episodes.
