Episode 6 Overall Thoughts

WTH!!! WTH!!! WTH!!! Zoom is dang near unstoppable and I’m scared for Barry Allen. He really schooled this young man in the ways of the Speed Force. Zoom is definitely in another league by himself. He makes the Reverse Flash look like a member from the D-league. I’m not sure how they’re going to stop him in the end. It looks like trouble for the Flash team.

The pacing of the entire episode was good. You didn’t feel any points where they rushed anything. Everything seemed like it flowed well with each other.  It went from the training montage, to the plan execution of trying to trap Zoom, to the beating Zoom gave to the Flash. You can’t ask for anything more than how the events played itself out.

There was a short scene of the show paying homage to the “Flashpoint” movie and it was amazing. On Earth-2 instead of it being Robert Queen who dies because of the events associated with the shipwreck you see Oliver die in his place. This is the same thing that happened in the movie except the characters revolved around Thomas and Bruce Wayne.

Final Grade -> 95%

Episode 7 Overall Thoughts

Henry Allen is the man! He really helps Barry overcome the mental block set in place from the beating he received from Zoom. Everyone tried to get him back into the game and to no avail. It was nice to see the return of Henry because he’s such a pivotal character to the identity of the Flash.

Even though it was cool to see more of Caitlyn Snow in the end it was too much of her unfortunately. She’s a great but instead of using her in these roles they need to dig back into her past a bit. This will help out when you bring out either her villainous side or her doppelganger from Earth-2.

The reveal of Gorilla City at the end of the episode was impressive. They’re really taking a lot of the source material and bringing it to the TV screen. Now that I’m mentioning Gorilla City it would be wrong if I didn’t talk about Gorilla Grodd. I like his character more during this time around than the last. His CG looked better and they utilized him more. He was a good use of a villain for this character heavy episode.

You can’t forget about Harrison Wells at all. Even though he was powerless, he brought the essential things to the team that they need at this moment. Tom Cavanagh is an amazing actor and he’s taking this role to new heights. The way he’s able to portray two separate characters in one scene is downright awesome.

Final Grade -> 87%

Enough on what I thought about the episodes.
