Today, I’m reviewing The Emoji Movie. Synopsis This animated comedy takes place in Textopolis, a world inside a smartphone that’s inhabited by various emojis. There, an emoji named Gene (voiced by T.J. Miller) is ashamed that he has multiple facial expressions while his colleagues only have one each, and he embarks on a quest to be like everyone else. James Corden, Anna Faris, Jennifer Coolidge, Patrick Stewart, and Maya Rudolph also lend their voices to this film from Sony Pictures Animation. -Rotten Tomatoes Non-Spoiler Review The Emoji movie is real and they’re here to make you laugh a little. The entire plot makes you think that the emojis you pick aren’t your own thoughts but rather part of a sentient phone choosing for you. The more the movie goes on the more you think this is a weak attempt to copy Inside Out. All of the adults will find this movie a bit boring because it speaks to the very young audience. I love movies! If I could predict 3 things you take away from having a conversation with me it would be 1.) He knows his movies, 2.) He’s really tall, and 3.) Wow, he knows a lot about movies.
